The BLISS

A week ago today I was headed out the door to my 1st-ever blogging conference. Did I know what a blogging conference was? No, not really.

Today, a week later I think back on all that took place during those ah-mazing 3 days though. In my mental recap I ask ...

Did I learn to blog? No.

Did I meet many other incredible bloggers? Yes.

Did I have a mind-renewing experience? Yes, Oh yes!

Experts in their field gave mini-workshops for 2 days. Whether it was -business ways of today /social media, or writing motivation- "just write", or photography tips and techiniques- you tubing & better portrait taking, I gained some knowledge from these particular professionals.

Hosea 4:6 says, "...my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." So, since I'm seeking to survive :-) & get some knowledge for life, I would have preferred more knowledge provided on how to blog or run a blogging business, but... I believe God always provides for me in the ways He knows I need, when I least expect it.

So, how did He provide ?

1) My sister (kerry) and niece (ashley) were my roommates, so I had a great girls weekend with them.

2) Blissdom Corporate Partners showered us with generous gifts every time we turned a corner. For where I am in my life, it was like a whisper from God saying, "I love you and want to bless you." So, I was motivated to carry on, not give up, and push through to where He is taking me and wanting to bless me as I have heard the Lord saying lately, "Behold, I will do a new thing."

3) I am also grateful to now know so many more amazing women on a similar journey that I am on, and I am encouraged by each of their lives.

I would say BLISSDOM was exactly what the word states- "Bliss" - for a couple of days to step away from the "work" of life , be refreshed, and receive focus to again step back into my world and see it as 'wonderful', with an incredible direction that I get to walk in.

Special Thanks to How To Homeschool My Child and Kerry Beck for sponsoring me to attend this weekend of BLISS!!

Check out some of my favorite photos from the conference below.

Scott Stratten on 'unmarketing'. He was so on target & spectacular!

My favorite photo taken all weekend ... from the Gaylord Texan gardens

Just a sample of smiles that were on EVERYONE's face

Denene, it was great meeting you and talking about photography with you. So glad for the conversations we had. I wish you'd been able to go on the photo walk too, it was one of my favorite times at blissdom.
